Antivirus exclusion for Skype for Business Server 2015 


Antivirus is important to protect the Server however sometime antivirus scanning interfere with operation of server that cause multiple issues. So, setting up the antivirus exclusion is very important step. Make sure that the antivirus scanner does not interfere with the operation of Skype for Business Server 2015, you must exclude specific processes and directories for each Skype for Business Server 2015 server or server role on which you run an antivirus scanner. Microsoft also recommends excluding the Skype for Business Server 2015 processes and directories.


Antivirus exclusion for Skype for Business Server 2015, SQL Backend Server and Office Web App Servers:


Following Skype for Business Server 2015 processes need to exclude (applicable for Skype for Business Front End (Director) and Edge Server:

AVMCUSvc.exe


ChannelService.exe

ComplianceService.exe

Exclude the file share store (specified in Topology Builder). File stores are specified in Topology Builder.
